Police Chief: Danny D. Langloss, Jr. 220 S. Hennepin
It is an honor to serve the citizens of Dixon as the Chief of Police. I am fortunate to work with such a professional group of police officers and a very supportive city council. As the Chief of Police, I promise to continue to provide the best possible service to the citizens we serve. Specifically, I have set three primary goals our department will attain: exemplary citizen service, proactive police strategies, such as zero tolerance enforcement of drug and gang activity, and community policing initiatives like Shop with a Cop, Dress for Success, Cops-N-Bobbers, and the Citizens Police Academy. I feel it is of utmost importance to have a strong relationship with our citizens, businesses, and civic groups to keep Dixon a safe place to live, work, and raise a family. Most of our success in our ongoing drug interdiction efforts is a direct result of cooperation we have received from the community. We are continually looking for new ways to connect with the community. Whether you need assistance with a neighborhood problem like a barking dog or a loud music complaint or there is a suspected drug location next to your residence, we are here to help. Please do not hesitate to contact our department at 815-288-4411. |
