Dixon Main Street would like to thank everyone who came out to the Musical Fridays Concert Series this summer in downtown Dixon. The concerts were held every Friday from June 6 to Aug. 29.

Each week, a different musical act was featured, which brought a great variety to the downtown. Thanks as well to all of the musicians who helped make the event possible.

Communication is one of the most vital parts of any relationship. With good communication, great things can happen. With bad communication, all your hard work can vanish quite easily.

One of the things Dixon Main Street tries to stress is good, positive communication to the people of Dixon. We have a quarterly newsletter, a Web site (www. dixonil.com/mainstreet), and countless fliers for our events and programs. And, we receive great support from the local media outlets who help us get the word out about what is happening in the downtown.

DIXON - Dick Wilson dreamed of having a bar. His wife, Marion, dreamed of having a beautiful bar. His dream was realized in November 1977, when the couple bought Wilson's Tap in Dixon.
