The Lee County Genealogical Society was founded in 1994 and is dedicated to the purpose of promoting awareness of family history and helping people in their genealogical research. The society is a not-for-profit organization, relying on work by volunteers and individual donations to help pay expenses.

We moved!
The new home is located at 111 South Hennepin Ave., in Dixon IL. We are now about 1 1/2 blocks away from the old location. The new location is located within one block from the Dixon Library and the Lee County Court House. This new location gives us over 50% more room and all our material is now better organized. The new location will cost us slightly more than the old so donations are welcomed.
