The youth department offers a large collection of materials - from board books to chapter books, in addition to audio books and magazines.
This winter and spring, there are some exciting programs for babies and toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary age children, in addition to library volunteer opportunities for youth ages 11 - 14.
Baby/Toddler Story Times will be Wednesday mornings, starting on January 11th and running through April 12th, 2017, at 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. These programs are designed for children 18 months-3 years of age and their caregivers. We’ll enjoy stories, games, fingerplays, crafts, and the ever-popular parachute time. No registration is required. Come join the fun!
Preschool Story Times will be on Tuesday mornings, beginning January 10th and running through April 11th, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. These storytimes are developed for children ages 3-5. We will share stories, games, crafts and other literacy activities. Family day care groups are welcome to attend!
After School Family Fun Events are once a month on selected Thursdays at 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
January 19th -“Winter Fun” It’s cold outside but we’ll have fun with warm winter crafts and hot chocolate.
February 9 - “Will You Be My Valentine?” Crafts, Games, and Activity Stations.
March 16 - “Old Fashioned School Days”. Crafts and activity stations about life in a one-room school.
April 13 - “Spring Has Arrived!” Get ready for spring with fun crafts, games, and activities.
