About Heritage Crossing

The Dixon Riverfront is brought to life at Heritage Crossing between the Peoria and Galena Avenue bridges. This area will feature engraved pavers throughout the Riverfront’s main walking paths and common areas. Engraving a paver will provide an opportunity to leave a legacy and support the Dixon Riverfront Commission. Heritage Crossing will celebrate names of donors, loved ones, special remembrances and favorite sayings.

Your donation will be used to complete the redevelopment of the Riverfront and establish the Dixon Riverfront and Downtown as a destination for tourism, strengthen local business and improve recreational opportunities, including fishing, canoeing, biking and hiking.

Pavers

The pavers will include your choice of inscription and will be used to make a permanent sidewalk of three different size pavers.

Text can be in upper and lower case. Any number, letter or symbol on a keyboard is available. The character count includes any symbol and the spaces between
