its a great place to go and enjoy coffee and conversation also the books department is wonderful childrens and adults great selection of cd's also

Books on First is such a nice touch to downtown Dixon. It seems to be the "central meeting place" for lots of folks. Great coffee & lattes and pastries from Chicago's Swedish Bakery! The children's area is absolutely wonderful. They carry Melissa & Doug wooden toys, which are hard to find in this area.

This independent book store is a favorite stop for anyone in town for the day. Great books, coffees, pastries, CDs, national newspapers and there is even a second room for kids books and art supplies. It's so nice to see that this business is alive and well!
