Seeking Assistance: Counterfeit Bills

The Dixon Police Department would like to ask the help of the public in identifying a subject and to warn area businesses of counterfeit bills being passed.  On May 6th, 2016 at approximately 7:42 PM, the Dixon Police Department was called to Snyder’s Pharmacy, located at 301 North Galena Avenue, in reference to a male subject trying to purchase items with a counterfeit $100.00 bill.  A cashier became suspicious of the bill and had a manager contact police.  The male subject left the store and was last seen driving a blue colored Chrysler Sebring.

The Dixon Police Department was also called to Walgreen’s Pharmacy, located at 1275 North Galena Avenue, the following day in reference to same subject trying to pass off another counterfeit $100.00 bill.

Citizens are reminded to call the Dixon Police Department at (815)288-4411 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-Caught-U. (1-888-228-4488)  Callers can remain anonymous and receive rewards of up to $1,000.00 if their information leads to an arrest.
